Children's Storytelling
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

For centuries, Native American tribes throughout America have shared their stories. We invite kids to join us at the NACIP Children's Corner and listen to ancient stories from the Navajo, the Abenaki Indians, Ute, Cherokee, and many more. Storytellers may use music, puppetry, humor and dialogue to engage listeners. Colorful renderings will be shown by Native American artists who have illustrated colorful and beautiful pages. In this setting you're welcome to listen, touch and feel the legends and stories of the past.

To begin our program at 1:00 p.m., Sybil McCook, Miss Ute Tribe 2006, will share stories from her culture. Here is a message from her:
